Blair has been working in the medical field for over 19 years.  Initially a Volunteer with Wilmot and New London Fire, her first job was at Mt. Sunapee Ski Patrol.  As a Medic based out of New London Hospital, she later made the switch to fulltime Fire Fighter/Paramedic and has proven herself as a strong team player.  A surfer, snowboarder and horseback rider, she has “True Grit”!   Blair joins us here at WETI-USA as she begins her exploration into Wilderness Medicine and will be the lead instructor for our Women’s Wilderness Medicine Classes.

Tom Harris

US Army Medic

Tom comes to WETI-USA through an interesting path.  Tom moved to Vermont to pursue his passion of horseback riding after completing two tours overseas in the US Army, 82nd Airborne where he worked as a medic in Afghanistan, and in Iraq.  Tom considers himself a renaissance man and has recently started long distance running.  Completing his first marathon after just one year of training.  Originally from Minnesota, Tom has fit quite well into the Vermont landscape and is a welcome asset to our team.

Lisa Rayes

EMT, AWLS

After 15 years in Alaska, where she worked as a fisherman and flight controller in Alaska, Lisa moved her family back to the lower 48.  Currently serving on the local FAST Squad, Lisa has added Wilderness Medicine to her long list of achievements.  Lisa recently completed AWLS and we welcome her to the WETI staff.  In her spare time she is a master groomer for cross country ski trials.
